Squirrel Business Hub is working with National Car Buyers to design and build their CRM. With a high volume of interactions and transactions taking place, there is a real focus on process automation and removing repetitive administrative tasks from the team’s workload.
Zoho CRM, Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk)
Up to date car sales information is vital to the National Car Buyers team to be able to operate effectively. With a requirement to check around 100 records a day on carsales.com.au to determine whether a vehicle is still listed or not, and no access to Carsales.com API to automate the process, it was a time consuming, manual task that no one really wanted to do. Squirrel were tasked with developing a process that would allow for the checks to take place on carsales.com.au and the related CRM record be updated, without the team having to be involved.
Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is a marketplace for completion of virtual tasks that require human intelligence. Squirrel developed an integration that would search Zoho CRM for eligible vehicle records, post a task on MTurk to be completed by the virtual community and then record the updates daily back to Zoho CRM.
Using a set of defined criteria to determine eligible records in the CRM, the integration feeds the data to the Requester platform, where a ‘HIT’ is created for each. The HIT record contains a unique URL link to the carsales.com.au website to display a vehicle related to the query. Each HIT is a job that a Worker can complete and be paid for. Payment for each hit in this case is 1 cent. The Worker is given clear instructions to follow – simply click on the URL link and answer the question of whether the car was still available. As each HIT is completed the answer to the question is pushed back to the related record in the CRM and updates the relevant field.
